Sehr wenig kontrollierte Evidenz bei diesem Extrem. Kurze Studien berichten von erhöhtem Nüchternblutzucker und veränderten Lipidmarkern bei einigen Teilnehmern. [1]
Die Bedürfnisse an Protein und Mikronährstoffen in einer Sitzung zu decken, ist wirklich schwierig. Beliebt, schlecht untersucht, und die Richtung der metabolischen Marker ist nicht beruhigend.
Die Erkenntnis, die die Menschen übersehen
In der randomisierten Literatur produzieren Fastenprotokolle einen Gewichtsverlust, der mit der kontinuierlichen Energieeinschränkung derselben Größenordnung vergleichbar ist. Wo eine Studie die Kalorien gleichsetzt, gewinnt der Fastenarm selten. Dies wird konsequent berichtet und konsequent unterkommuniziert, weil "es funktioniert etwa so gut wie weniger essen" eine schlechte Überschrift ist.
Es ist immer noch ein nützliches Ergebnis. Für einige Menschen ist eine Regel darüber, wann man isst, viel einfacher zu befolgen als eine Regel darüber, wie viel, und die Einhaltung ist das, was tatsächlich die Ergebnisse über ein Jahr bestimmt.

- 16:8 zeitlich eingeschränktes Essen — essen innerhalb von 8 Stunden, 16 Stunden fasten
- Frühzeitiges zeitlich eingeschränktes Essen — Fenster früh verschoben, z.B. 8-16 Uhr
- Die 5:2-Diät — zwei stark eingeschränkte Tage pro Woche
- Alternierendes Fasten — abwechselnd gefütterte und gefastete oder sehr kalorienarme Tage
- Prolongiertes Fasten (48 Stunden und mehr) — mehrtägig, Wasser oder minimale Aufnahme
