Comparațiile randomizate găsesc o pierdere în greutate în general echivalentă cu restricția calorică continuă pe parcursul a 6-12 luni. [1]
Echivalent, nu mai bine. Care funcționează este o întrebare despre persoană, nu despre protocol.
Constatarea pe care oamenii o ratează
În literatura randomizată, protocoalele de post produc o pierdere în greutate comparabilă cu restricția energetică continuă de aceeași magnitudine. Acolo unde un studiu echivalează caloriile, brațul de post rareori câștigă. Aceasta este raportată constant și comunicată constant insuficient, deoarece "funcționează aproximativ la fel de bine ca mâncatul mai puțin" este un titlu slab.
Este totuși un rezultat util. Pentru unele persoane, o regulă despre când să mănânce este mult mai ușor de urmat decât o regulă despre cât de mult, iar respectarea este ceea ce determină de fapt rezultatele pe parcursul unui an.
Alte protocoale
- Mâncat restricționat în timp 16:8 — mănâncă în decurs de 8 ore, postește 16
- Mâncat restricționat în timp devreme — fereastră mutată devreme, de exemplu 8am-4pm
- Post intermitent pe zile alternative — zile alternate de alimentație și post sau zile cu calorii foarte scăzute
- O masă pe zi (OMAD) — o singură ocazie de alimentație zilnică
- Post prelungit (48 de ore și mai mult) — mai multe zile, apă sau aport minim
