O que a evidencia apoia
Estudado principalmente para marcadores metabólicos e de autofaxia en lugar de peso. Os efectos sobre os corpos cetónicos e a insulina son reais e medibles. [1]
O síndrome de refeeding é un risco clínico real tras un fasting prolongado e pode ser fatal. A alteración dos electrolitos é o perigo específico. Este non é un protocolo para principiantes e non é apropiado sen supervisión.
A conclusión que a xente perde
A través da literatura aleatorizada, os protocolos de xaxún producen perda de peso comparable á restrición continua de enerxía da mesma magnitude. Cando un ensaio iguala calorías, o brazo de xaxún raramente gaña. Isto é consistentemente informado e consistentemente subcomunicado, porque "funciona aproximadamente tan ben como comer menos" é un mal titular.

- Xaxún en días alternos — alternando días alimentados e xaxunados ou de moi baixa caloría
