Majhne študije s kontroliranim prehranjevanjem nakazujejo, da zgodnejše prehranjevanje izboljša občutljivost na inzulin in glikemično kontrolo neodvisno od teže, kar je skladno s cirkadiano biologijo. [1]
Poskusi so majhni in razporedi so socialno težko vzdrževati. Metabolni signal je bolj zanimiv kot signal teže.
Ugotovitev, ki jo ljudje spregledajo
V literaturi o randomiziranih poskusih protokoli posta prinašajo izgubo teže, primerljivo s kontinuirano omejitvijo energije iste magnitude. Kjer poskus izenačuje kalorije, postna skupina redko zmaga. To je dosledno poročano in dosledno slabo komunikacijo, ker "deluje približno tako dobro kot manj jesti" ni dobra novica.
